Will my 2 year old cat come home? He has never left home before, and he has been gone for 2 days!?

My cat Patch NEVER has left home before. He is a 2 year old outdoor male cat. He would not be looking for a mate because we have 2 outdoor females. Coyotes are always prowling around my neighborhood. However, he is a very smart sleeper. He sleeps behind the trash, under cars, on the roof, in bushes, in the garage, or on the overhang in the backyard. He has been outdoor since he was one and has been here every morning. I am really worried about him and I cannot stop crying. Will he ever come home?
