Bad friend not to go?

So I just broke up with my gf, of over three years, as of two days ago. I'm supposed to go to a wedding this Sat, that is 3-4 hours away. However, Sat night I want to meet some girls, because one of them could be a potential roommate. I am very picky about roomies, and I do not want to miss an opportunity, because this girl is supposedly the perfect roomie, well not perfect, but you know what I mean, I hope. Anyways. I'm thinking about not going to the wedding, so I can meet this girl, and get my life going again. The friend's wedding,....is a friend from high school, I'm almost 22 now. We are not close, and have only hung out once since high school. She will always be a friend, but it isn't like we are close.....I'm really considering just staying in town, I think the last thing I want to see is to love birds tying the knot...what do you think?
